Saluti da Bolzano Blog dei volontari

Hi guys,
i'm Christiane from Germany. I am doing my EVS in Bolzano in the North of Italy.
A part of my activity I spend in working with homeless people, while preparing meals for them, doing kind of works in the office and also some freetime activities, like going with them into the mountains. On the other side i'm working in a Bar of Caritas, which is called "white Bar" because we don't sell alcohol, but many things of our region and also biological. All the people, who are working there are volunteers or doing any kind of projects, for example to learn italian or to collect some experiences of work.
What I like about my activity is that I met so many different people, also these ones, which I never gave attention to before.
At first, was a bit hard for me to learn italian, because in Bolzano, there are many many german talking people. But now in the end, all the volunteers of the Bar are italians, so I learned to talk more and more in italian and I love it.
I think, these 11 month were a wonderful experience, which I'll never forget. I got to know many many people, wonderful friends, and many amazing places of this country and I'm really a bit sad, that I will leave in only a few weeks.
