Ciao a tutti :) io sono Giuseppe, un volontario tedesco della Comune di Lavis. The last few weeks, I've been more busy preparing for the "Settimana delle Lingue" (week of languages), which is an event, that actually spans a couple of weeks, and presents a chance for learning and teaching languages in many ways. The main way to do so, at least for me, lay in creating and giving short, playful and most importantly fun classes at the elementary schools in Zambana, Pressano and soon Lavis.Up until now, this has been incredibly rewarding for me.Apart from the volunteering, just living here has also continued staying interesting. As an example, lots of museums are free to enter on the first Sunday of the month. Which made for an awesome day in the science museum "MUSE", that was located in a beautiful part of Trento, I hadn't seen before. Some things have also changed for me.Going into this experience, I thought that I might want to become a teacher later in life, but upon seeing schools from a teacher's perspective I reflected upon it and realized that I wouldn't enjoy being one myself.I still enjoy helping at schools as a part of my volunteering activities, however being a teacher as a full-time job, doesn't seem like the right fit for me as of now and I'm super grateful that I had the opportunity to learn this, before starting to study.Overall, I'm very content and happy with my choice of doing an ESC. Although I do miss family and friends in Germany, I'm also aware of the immense value of the unique experiences here. I also understand Italian more than before and can begin to form sentences myself, which is a nice feeling.Allora, arrivederci a tutti :)
