Ciao, my name is Zuza and I’m from Poland...

Ciao, my name is Zuza and I’m from Poland. For the past four months, I’ve been living in Italy as part of a 10-month project. I work in Trento, while I live in Pergine, which gives me the chance to experience both everyday local life and the rhythm of a bigger city.
After finishing my Master’s degree, I knew I wanted to go abroad and challenge myself in the field of new media, which I studied. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and discovering new places, so joining an international volunteering project felt like the right next step.
Throughout my life, I’ve taken part in several volunteering experiences, and each of them has helped me grow. Volunteering allows me to better understand myself, discover my strengths, and, most importantly, meet inspiring people from different places.

This project is another important chapter in that journey.
Here, I work as a social media assistant in the office. I help create and publish content, support various administrative tasks, prepare a newsletter for volunteers, and look for interesting events they can participate in. It’s a valuable opportunity to see how an organization works from the inside and to gain practical experience in the communication field.
Outside of work, I try to make the most of my time in Italy. On weekends, I explore new places and enjoy everything this region has to offer. I’ve already had the chance to see the Venetian Carnival live with its incredible masks and atmosphere and visit Lake Garda, which completely amazed me with its beauty.

This experience is not only professional development for me, but also a personal journey toward greater independence, openness, and confidence. I’m excited to see what the next months will bring.
