Regular YoungCaritas activities for volunteers: The youngCaritas staff offers the volunteers several activities. They are free to decide whether they want to join or not. Informal language learning meetings, intercultural meetings and cooking sessions can be organized for and by the volunteers themselves. The volunteers are invited to different Caritas events like art expositions, workshops and panel discussions on actual political topics and more.
The volunteers support the youngCaritas staff in the planning and implementation of their
projects and activities and can actively contribute their ideas. For example:

  • Music Heroes: The 'Music Heroes' are the protagonists of the initiative: young volunteer musicians singing and/or playing outside old people's homes or other facilities for the elderly (but not only). A simple action as a form of combating loneliness.
  • CaféTalk: A topic, a guest, a cosy place and a desire to talk: these are the ingredients for a CaféTalk. A project that is a space and an opportunity for young people to be protagonists. In the choice of theme, host, modalities, etc.

Volunteers will work 30-35 hours/week, from Monday to Friday. Sometimes the volunteer will be requested to work also during weekends. In any case, volunteers will not work more than 5 days/week and will always have 2 days off.
