Henrietta's first impression of Lavis, Italy Blog dei volontari
Hi, my name is Henrietta, I am from Romania , and for the next year I'll be living in Lavis as a volunteer. During my project, I'll be supporting the politiche giovanili (youth policies) team.
In my free time, I love drawing, taking photographs, spending time with animals, and staying active.
My first few days here have been a great mix of excitement and getting used to a completely new environment. My first impressions are wonderful—Lavis has a beautiful atmosphere, and I have been welcomed by an incredibly warm and inclusive community. Connecting with the locals has been amazing, and I already feel a strong affection for the people here.I am also settling into my new flat nicely.
As for my Italian, it is definitely a work in progress! I am currently trying to pick up the basics and use them daily. Regarding my expectations, I am simply looking forward to getting into a steady routine with my tasks, making new friends, improving my Italian, and fully immersing myself in the local way of life over the upcoming year.
