L'esperienza di Marika in Danimarca - ESC in un eco-villaggio Blog dei volontari

Le mie ore di volontariato si dividono tra LØS e Hallingelille (l'ecovillaggio in cui vivo). LØS è un' organizzazione che fa da network tra gli ecovillaggi danesi e si occupa anche di progetti Erasmus+ e progetti internazionali in Ghana e Ucraina. Hallingelille è un ecovillaggio di circa 60 persone in mezzo alla natura, ognuno ha la propria casa o stanza, ma ci sono diverse zone comuni per vivere insieme e condividere. Grazie a questo progetto ho trovato quello che stavo cercando, un'esperienza che mi permettesse di lavorare con la progettazione in ambito sociale strettamente connessa alla sostenibilità e allo stesso tempo vivere e aiutare nel pratico in un ecovillaggio, tra cene comunitarie, orto, riparazioni e tanti lavori pratici e manuali che sto sperimentando ogni settimana. Ho avuto la possibilità di partecipare a diversi incontri e sentirmi davvero parte di una ONG sperimentando e mettendomi davvero in gioco. Ho potuto visitare altri ecovillaggi e ho scoperto quanto possano essere diversi tra loro e quanto sostenibilità possa realmente significare tante cose differenti. Ogni tanto è difficile raccontare una mia giornata tipo, le difficoltà non sono mancate, ma ogni giorno è una scoperta e un provare qualcosa di nuovo assieme alle altre volontarie.

Tante riflessioni, tante nuove esperienze, nuove storie e persone incontrate per caso, ma che stanno significando molto in questa mia avventura che ora mi spiace stia giungendo al termine. Spero davvero di portare sempre con me tutto ciò.

Essere ESC è davvero un' opportunità!

I'm Marika, I'm 26 years old and since March I am an ESC volunteer in Denmark. My volunteer hours are divided between LØS and Hallingelille (the ecovillage where I live). LØS is the danish ecovillage network organisation that also works with Erasmus+ projects and international projects in Ghana and Ukraine. Hallingelille is an ecovillage of about 60 people surrounded by nature. Everyone in the ecovillage had their own house or room, but there are several common areas for living together and sharing. Thanks to this project, I found what I was looking for: an experience that would allow me to work with project design in the social sphere, closely linked to sustainability, while at the same time living and helping out in an ecovillage, with community dinners, vegetable gardening, repairs and lots of practical and manual work that I am experiencing every week. I had the opportunity to participate in several meetings and really feel part of an NGO, experimenting and truly putting myself out there. I was able to visit other ecovillages and discovered how different they can be from each other and how sustainability can really mean so many different things. Sometimes it is difficult to describe a typical day here, there have been difficulties of course, but every day is a discovery and a chance to try something new together with the other volunteers.

So many reflections, new experiences, new stories and new people that I met by chance, all aspects that are meaning so much to me in this adventure, which I am now sad to see coming to an end. I really hope to carry all that I am experiencing back home with me.
