Hello, my name is Emma, 
I'm 18 years old and I'm from Germany.
After finishing school, I decided to do a voluntary social year in Italy - in Pergine Valsugana to be precise.
I came here through the ESC organization, which did a great job organizing the year abroad and supported me throughout. 
I work here at the Kairos youth center. There I help with various activities with young people, organize games, workshops or activities and also support the children in learning German. 

I really enjoy working with young people and designing creative projects together.
I decided to do this year abroad because I wanted to gain new experiences, learn Italian and get to know a different culture. I'm also very interested in education and would like to work with children later on - so working here is great preparation for that.
In the last few weeks, I have already met lots of nice people, made new friends and learned and seen a lot about Italy. I find it exciting to see how school and working with young people works here, and I enjoy the beautiful surroundings in Trentino.
This year is a great opportunity for me to develop personally, become more independent and help others at the same time. I am very grateful for this experience and look forward to everything that is to come!
