From Lisbon to Bolzano! The beginning of Guida's history in Italy Blog dei volontari

Hi, I'm Guida and I'm 24 years old. I'm from Lisbon, Portugal, and now volunteering in Bolzano, Italy. I've decided to come here after a lot thinking on finally leaving my country for a while, when progress felt slow. Italy felt like a good start on a journey to know other sides of me; right now, I volunteer in an elderly house where I do animation activities with the elderly in the morning and afternoon — one of my favorite activities that we do with them is playing tombola!This projects speaks to me a lot for my caring abilities and it's one of the reasons I considered it the most.
I had no expectations but my first impressions were very positive, everyone welcomed me warmly and I was able to settle nicely. At this point in time in the project everything goes very smoothly and there's a great work flow between our team of volunteers. I'm truly satisfied with how things are going and I'm learning a lot about myself with it.
