Centro pe la Cooperazione Internazionale (CCI) is an organization that is specialised on the following areas:

- International solidarity and development, elaborating initiatives targeted to young people, teachers, citizens, practitioners and volunteers in the field of international cooperation. The Programme offers workshops, mandatory and elective courses, and international mobility opportunities for internships and thesis research;

- The Global Teachers Centre, part of CCI, offers tailored assistance, training, educational materials, as well as networking opportunities to school teachers, educators, and CSO practitioners willing to explore a renewed didactics, based on GCE;

- Journalism and media freedom, by publishing and running the online media www.balcanicaucaso.org, as well as through several projects focusing on the role of quality media for democracy, such as the European Data Journalism Network - EDJNet; the Media Freedom Rapid Response - MFRR and the Media Freedom Resource Centre www.rcmediafreedom.eu;

- For-profit and social innovation, dedicated to companies and international cooperation organisations for a responsible economic development in an international sphere;

Over the years, the CCI has hosted many internships for students and young volunteers, supporting them in the development of a personalized training course and with regular tutoring activities. The Centre also offers a fully equipped library, where users can get expert guidance, as well as browse and borrow innovative educational materials in several languages.


Proposed activities for the volunteer/s:

The volunteer will support the Global Teachers Centre's coordinator in disseminating teaching and learning practices to develop skills of global citizenship. Some examples of the activities proposed:

- Drafting and editing of communication material to promote the activities of the Global Teachers Centre's;

- Management of the Global Teachers Center website and social media;

- Co-design of training activities and participation in the drafting of local, national and international projects;

- Classroom tutoring during training courses;

- Preparation of training materials: collection of teaching resources, bibliography and sitography, selection of tools to support the didactics;

- Participation in meetings and gatherings with local authorities/organizations/schools/universities.

The volunteer will also support the editorial staff in activities on media freedom related contents, such as the safety of journalists and the freedom of expression. The project aims to develop, in the volunteer, the analytical capacity by under the interaction between the theoretical knowledge and the context in which the host association operates.

The activities aim at the acquisition of specific skills such as the ability to operationally apply the methodological tools, with a view to problem-solving orientation and in particular: Production of digests of reports, surveys and news; Distribution of content, related to the activity of the CCI, through its social media.

Requisiti per partecipare

You need to be aged between 18 and 30 years old and you should preferably be an EU citizen.

You don't need any previous experience or training in order to become a volunteer and carry on your activities in CCI. The main criteria for selection are your motivation, interest to take part in the activities proposed, flexibility and open mind, tolerance and non-discriminative attitude.


You will get free accommodation for the whole duration of your voluntary service. You will live in a double room with shared bathroom, laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen with cooking facilities. You will share the apartment with other volunteers. The apartment is situated in the central area of the city of Trento with all necessary utilities around (supermarket, pharmacy, bus stop).

In terms of food allowance, the volunteers receive 200 euro per month.

Pocket money, according to the ESC guide standards in Italy are 150 euro per months (5 euro per day). Transport card is provided.
