Carnival Parade in Lavis – February 12, 2026
On February 12, 2026, the charming town of Lavis, located just outside Trento, came alive with color, music, and laughter during its beautiful annual Carnival parade. The event brought together a large number of participants and spectators, creating a joyful atmosphere that could be felt throughout the entire town.
Children, adults, and seniors alike truly outdid themselves in terms of creativity and imagination when it came to their costumes. A vibrant procession moved through the town center, filling the streets with confetti, cheerful music, and the sound of laughter echoing even in the most distant corners of Lavis. The weather was perfect, which made the celebration even more enjoyable and allowed everyone to fully embrace the festive spirit.
The parade featured an incredible variety of costumes. Among the participants were Asterix and Obelix with their family, a lively team inspired by Ghostbusters (who ultimately won the competition), a symbolic “European bus” decorated with European and LGBTQ+ flags, as well as countless princesses, plush toys, LEGO-inspired characters, and many other imaginative creations.
However, the costume that truly stole my heart was the “washing machine man.” It was such an original and humorous idea that it immediately stood out in the crowd. The creativity, attention to detail, and playful spirit behind that costume perfectly captured what Carnival is all about.
A jury carefully evaluated the participants and awarded prizes to the most inventive and well-executed costumes, recognizing the effort and dedication that went into each creation. The winning Ghostbusters group received special praise for their teamwork and overall presentation.
The event was organized by local carnival committees and community associations, with the support of the municipal authorities and many dedicated volunteers. The strong involvement of the local community was visible everywhere – from the parade organization and music to the food stands prepared for everyone attending.
To complete the celebration, organizers and local residents prepared delicious pasta and served hot drinks, offering participants a chance to warm up and continue socializing after the parade. It was a wonderful moment of togetherness that highlighted the spirit of community and tradition.
The Carnival parade in Lavis once again proved that this celebration is not just about costumes, but about unity, creativity, and shared joy. It was a day full of color, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will surely be remembered for a long time.
