European Voluntary Service
The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is a program of the European Commissione which allows a young person aged between 18 and 30 years to be a volunteer in a foreign country (specifically Italy, in this case) for a determined period of time, normally between 6 and 12 months (preferably up to 9 months), to get to know another culture and another language and participating at the same time in the realisation of a project useful for the local community.
Accomodation and benefits for the volunteers
The Volunteer receive food and lodging, as well as a monthly pocket money. Moreover, the programme covers also the cost of one back/forth travel from/to your country of origin and the country where your project is taking place (up to 90%); an additional health insurance; a language course.
Which projects does InCo coordinate?
In Italy InCo organization works in close cooperation with a number of different no-profit entities throughout the country, yet mainly in the Northern part. Most of InCo's project involve being with children of disadvantaged background, with elderlies, or differently able people.
